Sabarmati Festival:
This installation was created for the Sabarmati Festival organized in Ahmadabad in 2018. In this Fast food age, people had forgotten their homemade food filled with nutrition’s. This work was intent to aware society about disadvantages of newly adopted habits and test.

Raw old metal scrap seems dead but I still find some life in it, so I picked up them and used as a material to create aliveness in form and object. My life experiences, feelings, observations, fantasies comes together to observe alive form which was already existed in that scrap I think.

Before starting the creation of a Scrap Sculpture, our artists begin gathering ideas and drawing a concept. After having a concept the artists start collecting spare scrap metal parts.

Used car parts, motorcycle parts, spark plugs, nuts, and bolts are collected for the Sculpture. Then the welding process begins and can, depending on size and details, take up to 4 months per piece.

After the scrap metal is welded into a master piece of art, a protective clear code is added to the Sculpture.
